I swear my weeks a melt into one when I’m mid-project. How did we get to week 4 of the One Room Challenge already?! I feel like I accomplished so much in week 3, that week 4 kind of seems like a flop.

Week 4 Front Room Progress

I have to be honest, almost everything that moved ahead this week, Tim took the lead. He tidied, and moved the table out, got the new light fixture up, picked up the new area rug, and took me into the city to pick up the new sofa… which I have yet to take out of the box. Let’s all give Tim a big pat on the back.
The Front Room Before

I sourced artwork for the room this week, a few online prints that I can frame myself, and a few personal images I took from our trip to Italy this past fall.
Choosing Fabric

This week I dove into fabric samples. A lot of the wall space will have drapes so I wanted something that will make a big impact. The best part, Maxwell Fabrics has a Memo Service, where you can send them your palette, and design ideas and they will mail you samples of coordinating fabrics to choose from, just let them be your design assistant!

So many beautiful choices, I’m still having a hard time making the decision! Swing by instagram to voice your opinion, I’d love the help!
Week 5 To-do:
- Upholster Chair
- Sew Drapes and throw cushions
- Assemble and arrange furniture
- Frame Prints
Thanks for following along with
All of your fabric samples are so pretty! Love your color palette too, can’t wait to see it come together!
Thank you, Meredith, I can’t wait to see how it all works!
I just love all of your colors. I’m doing a similar color scheme for our front living room (not for ORC) as I love how green, pink and gold look together!
I bet it is going to look sharp! Thanks for visiting!
