Free Sewing pattern #sewing #passport

Today is the day I set sail for SNAP! (I promise only one more trip rambling after this). Today I wanted to share my new passport pouch I created for my trip. I wanted something that was fun and cute, but didn’t have a tonne of unnecessary pockets, just a home for my passport and a bit of cash. Sewing this passport pouch is easy, and perfect for a beginner with a little bit of background sewing knowledge. This is how… Read more »

Perfect melted cheese #HeavenlyMelt

Growing up, onions were an essential in our house; you might even say a staple dish. My Dad can make the meanest onion sandwich you’ve ever tasted, and what’s a piece of steak without a buttery dripping mushroom and onion side! I’ve never lost the love for them, and even find most dishes blah without. So what’s this onion lovin’ lady to do? Make an onion appetizer of course! Don’t be scared off if all you can think is the… Read more »

Easy Easter Canvas

I always want to paint on canvas, but I’m not that skilled with a brush, sure I can paint a word or two like I did on these instagram canvases, but I just found a great way to utilize a canvas without having to pick up a paint brush! I wanted a large piece of Easter artwork but didn’t want to shill out the $. When I found an Easter t-shirt for my daughter at the thrift shop I knew I… Read more »

forsythia wreath

You may remember back at Christmas time I shared a lovely Joy wreath sign with y’all. Weeeell, I loved it so much (that I still had it on my deck until last week) I had to make another! Of course joy isn’t exactly an appropriate word for this time of year so I had to put my thinking cap on.  At first I was going to use the word ‘hop’ and style a bunny into it, I liked that idea… Read more »

Puzzle necklace for Autisum Awareness

Each year on April 2 May Arts Ribbon and their team supports International Autism Awareness Day. The symbol for Autism Awareness is the puzzle piece, so this year we were asked to create a project using one. Have a look at the  the Ribbon Lamp Shade I made this day last year. Why Puzzle Pieces? Bright and Fun Spring Wreath #spring #wreath #fabric #diy #yellow #lace #ribbon #fabricflowers

It’s here! It’s really here! The first day of Spring! The crowd is going WILD around here! I am SOoooo… ready to pack away the parka, dust of my bicycle, and prepare for warmer weather. Ok, I do live in Canada so just because the date on the calendar is here, realistically there is still a lot of snow, and if I didn’t wear my parka I’d be frozen to the core. Buuut… one thing I can do is freshen… Read more »
