I made this JOY Outdoor Wreath Sign for this epic Canadian event
Today you’re going to see 15 amazing wreaths from the best of the best in Canada!
I love traditional balsam Holiday wreaths. When I was a kid my parents owned a Christmas tree farm so I learned wreath making tricks of the trade early on! I love all the steps of gathering the brush, creating, and impressing my mom (I can do without the cold fingers)!
The only thing I’ve improved on since a kid is my bow making skills.
Isn’t this May Arts coloured and natural burlap bow stunning with the balsam background?
A few months back my sister in law chucked her broken piano and I snagged the cover, which made the perfect backdrop for my outside wreath JOY sign.
I cut the J and the Y from leftover scrap pieces from my craft room workbench, and elevated them a bit to make it a bit more 3D. It took me about 1 hour to make (I’m kinda proud because I did it 100% alone, no husband home to guide me!). Adding the coat hook will give the wreath a bit more stability (I thought about just using a nail), and hopefully avoid it being blown off in the wind.
I love how it turned out, plus I can use it year after year regardless of the wreath I choose to display on it.
