We’ve lived in our home for 3 years now (wow how time flies). When we first moved in our oldest was only 2 months and the house was pristine. That soon faded… 10 dirty fingers turned to 20 and my perfectly ordered/decorated house slid into the realm of a ‘house with kids’. What has stayed cute and ordered? For some reason my kids rooms, maybe it is because its the only 2 rooms in my house that have been re-decorated, or maybe I don’t want them to catch a dirty disease while they sleep, but I’m still in love with them as much as when I put them together. Without further adue today I want to share our little girl’s bedroom with you…
The view from the door. I made the quilt, then created the color scheme from there.
These ‘Baby Clothes Shadow Boxes’ are one of my all time favorite crafts, they were made prior to my sons arrival (I still need to make one for him). In order- My baby outfit, My favorite shirt and slippers of my daughters, Her outfit she came home from the hospital in, My husbands little tidbits of cuteness. I had to incorporate some of my favorite MME papers and embellies of the time!
 The view from the bed.
I knit the monkey family for her before she was born and we didn’t know the sex. The light fixture and the mirror were both on clearance at Home Sense!
The view from the closet of the toy area.
Can you believe how small those glasses are?
I made this alphabet poster from die cut letters/numbers glued to piece of foam board. I found the frame at Mike’s for $8 (wish I would have painted it white).
Thank you for joining me for a tour of my Little Girl’s Bedroom. I hope to make this “From the Fynes House” a regular feature… I need a good reason to keep my house tidy!
Cheers
