Christmas Home Tour 2018

Welcome to my 2018 Christmas Home Tour! Decorating for the holidays is my favourite thing, so of course sharing this post is one of my favourites too! Not only because I get to share what I love most about Christmas, but also get to link up with a bunch of other Canadian decor bloggers who are sharing their beautiful homes too, so much inspiration for every taste, colour scheme, budget and style!

The Christmas Tree

Red, Green and mixed metallic Christmas Tree

I shared a bit of the holidays in this house last year (you can see last years tree here) . Now that I’m officially moved in, it has been very exciting to combine our decorations, and make it feel like home.

Red and green plaid Christmas Tree

The 17′ ceiling in the living room makes for oodles of space for a monster of a tree. This baby is just shy of 12′!! A smaller tree is generally more full and easier to decorate, but this grand room calls for a grand tree. I used every. single. ornament I have!

Since I moved in less than 2 weeks ago, most of my life is still packed away in boxes. Between the moving box shuffle and a busy work schedule, I didn’t go crazy overboard with my Christmas decorations this year. You should see the year I put up 12 trees! A few vignettes, and just one Christmas tree. I actually started in the newly renovated kitchen.

The Christmas Kitchen

You all know how much I love designing and painting Christmas signs, these two are new to my Etsy shop for 2018. Santa’s Snack Shoppe is fitting for the kitchen, and the Polar Air flight tag you can totally personalize the destination to your address!

I absolutely love my decorations with the crisp white kitchen, pops of red everywhere!

Plaid was huge last Christmas, but I couldn’t resit using it everywhere this holiday season. I love traditional Christmas decorations and red and green everywhere!

My selfie was a bit neglected this year, it looks a bit similar to last year  but I just love all my vintage tidbits.

I have never had a banister to decorate before so an actual place to hang the stockings is very exciting!

The Stockings were Hung

The staircase is right at the front door so a decorated banister was a must! I’ll be sharing more on that tomorrow.

My Virginia Christmas painted sign was the first I ever painted, its a Christmas decoration staple!
