Print Out The Designs

Regular 8.5 x 11″ white cardstock works best for free greeting cards. Your home printer can handle this with no problem, but you could also take the file to a local printer if you want extra-fancy results they will have high-quality paper that will make the designs pop.

Cut, Fold, Add an Envelope

Use scissors or a paper trimmer to cut along the lines. For that perfect fold that doesn’t look homemade, line up the corners and use something straight to create a crisp edge. Pair with a standard envelope and you’re good to go!

  • Add a touch of sparkle by applying a bit of school glue to the floral outlines and sprinkle with glitter for a dazzling effect.
  • Small scrapbooking embellishments like tiny buttons, fabric flowers, or decorative brads can add a wonderful dimension to your cards.
  • Attach a thin ribbon along the fold or create a small bow at the corner. Don’t forget the inside of your card – use double-sided tape to use your own photos that the recipient will treasure. FAQ

How can I print my own cards?

Nothing fancy is needed here! Just grab some cardstock (the thicker paper that makes physical cards feel like… well, cards), adjust your home printer settings to high quality, and hit print! Pro tip: Let the ink dry completely before folding to avoid any smudges. If you don’t have the right paper at home, most local printer shops can help you out.

How can I make a printable card online for free?

You’ve got options! You can download my ready-to-go designs for free greeting cards (easiest option!), or if you’re feeling creative, try Canva or PicMonkey to design your own. Both have free versions, customizable templates and loads of graphics that let you make pretty amazing cards without design skills. Kids especially love adding their own artistic flair!

What is the best free card maker online?

From my experience, Canva is pretty amazing for beginners – it’s super intuitive and has tons of free elements for making your own greeting cards. If you have time to spare, they also offer printing services. Which is fantastic for bridal shower invitations, party invites and Christmas cards that you might want more than one of. I used the Canva print service at Christmas, and I was pleased with the quality and delivery time. PicMonkey is another good option with some fun features. But honestly? The easiest way is just to download mine that is already done for you!
