Thanks for checking in on Day #7 of the 12 Days of Door Decor. Today I have up on the door another Burlap number. Burlap has been so popular this year (not to mention easy to put together) that I thought I’d create this Elegant Burlap and Snowflake Wreath and decorate it like I would a traditional fir wreath. Plus, I used some left over elements from wreaths of days past. Please have a look.
I mainly used items I had around the house and a few things from the dollar store. A small piece of tulle around the base of a glass bulb makes a pretty seat for Christmas tree bulbs.
Rolled roses from strips of silk give an unexpected twist to dollar store plastic snowflakes. Glittered pinecones wired to the burlap give a bit of extra sparkle to the rustic burlap.
This wreath is also adorned with a big ivory bow made with May Arts Ribbon and created using the Bowdabra.
Thanks for stopping in to take a look at Day #7. I hope you’re getting your holiday decorations on the go! We start today!!! Now which wreath will I put on my door, what do you think?

Love this Virginia.. I love burlap..looks so nice!!!! Like your rolled flowers on the snowflakes…shabby and chic 🙂
It looks like it fell on in the way that a good icing job does on a cupcake. Looks elegant!
Thanks! I love how this one came together too. I didn’t have a vision I was just trying to use up some supplies.
How do you make the burlap wreath? It is so amazing?
It is too easy! If you have a look at Day#11 you’ll find a set of instructions that are quite simple. I’d love for you to link up if you make one, right here or on Fynes Designs FB account.
Beautiful! A cut above. I found the inspiration I was looking for. Thank you. Keep on crafting.
I am so confused with this web sight. I see the beautiful wreath patterns and terrific snowflakes and bowes on them, but I cannot find the directions. Please help, I would love to make them
Hi Teresa, thanks for stopping by! Some of them don’t have directions, they are just inspiration shots. Many I made when I first started out and didn’t do many tutorials. I’ve started adding “how to’s” to most of my posts these days! I hope you’ll stick around for it!
