Today I’ve joined forces again with a great team of bloggers to bring you a series of inspirational Christmas table settings sure to get your holiday table decor ideas flowing.
Since last Christmas my dining room has made a swap (see what this room looked like last year). Now that the dining room is a bit more private, it’s perfect for hosting a small intimate dinner party.
Have you ever found that perfect Christmas piece you know will be timeless? I can’t deny I’ve fallen victim to holiday trends here and there, but when I come across a staple I know will be cherished year after year, I just have to add it to my collection. These black and white tree plates from President’s Choice are perfect, I can see them making a Christmas table setting appearance more than once.
I’ve never used a lot of green in my Christmas decor, and even hesitated using red this year as the adjacent room is bright yellow and pink. But hey, what’s Christmas without red, green and lots of plaid?
I simply lined the table with a piece of crushed velvet upholstery fabric (no sewing involved), and adorned with candlesticks, bottle brush trees, and my favourite glittery deer. The best part… everything came from the thrift shop!
You can see this room is a showcase for my painted signs, all the cut files are in my Etsy shop!
With the perfect setting for a dinner party, a few quick and easy holiday treats are in order! Like an impressive cheese board, it always steals the show. Check out my best tips on how to Create a Simple Charcuterie Board here.
President’s Choice has a great lineup of items in their PC Holiday Insider’s Collection that makes any cheese board a show stopper. Like the 5 PC Aged 5 years Canadian Cheddar and the PC Splendidio Antipasto Misto you’re guests will have happy tummies before the first course even arrives!

This is beautiful. I love the tree plates – so classic and festive. And they could go with ANYTHING. Everything looks festive.
Bottlebrush trees are amongst my favourite things! As are mini pickles! Lovely tablescape, Virginia!
