Blue Bath Be GONE- A Weekend Bathroom Makeover

Ever spot a room that is just all kinds of wrong? Well, let me introduce the blue bathroom. It was a 9.5 on the bad scale for me, like wrong on so many levels. With just a few hours to spare I gave this bright blue space a much needed bathroom makeover... with a little spa like touch!

You certainly can’t take into appreciation a bathroom makeover without the jaw dropping before and after… brace yourself for the brightness.

For real, that was the color! I can’t describe it as anything but the brightest of bright blue.

Ahhh, a much lighter, calming color! To update the builder-grade vanity I swapped out the chrome hardware with flat black, and replaced the faucet with a ARA single handle flat black, water-efficient one from Delta. 

This faucet came with the colar to convert the three hole sink. The Ara faucet is much more streamlined and modern.

Then there was this mystery hole in the wall. I know, a bit weird. I’d say there was supposed to be a linen closet built there at some point. However, not a weekend friendly task, so I found this table second hand and it couldn’t fit more perfect! I had to refinish the top and give it a lick of paint. Can you believe how well it fits in the space?! Almost like it was made for there!!

I just so happened to have the clearance Ikea mirror waiting for a home and repurposed the unused bench seat as well.

The makeup vanity artwork was created by framing a pretty piece of wrapping paper and applying a vinyl sticker (cut on my Silhouette), so easy eh?!

On to the shower… possibly my favourite 5 minute upgrade EVER!

The leu is tucked in its own little cubby, kinda funny, but no fear of someone walking in on you!

I know this bathroom has so much more potential and maybe down the road I’ll give it another spiff up, for now the bright blue bathroom lives no more!
