Did I ever mention I live in the Apple Capitol of our province? Each May when the apple trees blossom there is an annual Apple Blossom Festival. Around here it is the kick off celebration to welcome summer. It’s a busy weekend of the usual parades, fireworks, and concerts. But this year I was so fortunate to be able to invite some guests over to join me for a Outdoor Oasis Patio Party with the help of Pier 1, and keep away from the hustle and bustle. 
The patio party was so relaxed, it was nice to kick back with our guests and enjoy the sunshine while the kiddos played. Of course the men just gathered around the BBQ, but the ladies gushed over the pretty table decor, and sipped Caesars from fun party straws.
I was so happy how my outdoor dining set turned out (if you haven’t seen the before, you’ll be shocked by the transformation), I couldn’t believe my eyes that Pier 1 had outdoor dishes that coordinated so well with the color and pattern I had chose for my painted dining set.
The shepherd hooks my step father made for my wedding work so well to hold the Pier1 crackle lanterns… now I just need about 10 more of them.
I threw in a few yellow and red accents to give a little pop of color!
What did we eat you ask?
We started off with some nibbles, like this balsamic glazed BBQ toasted bruchetta, I can taste that yummy glaze just looking at the picture.
Creamy Caesar salad, and spinach with seasonal fruit and candied pecans.
And for the main course we had Grilled BBQ Pizza and a few hamburgers for those with a traditional taste.
The best part about these pretty party dishes is they are break free, so I wasn’t concerned about the little ones and their slippery fingers!
It was lovely to have our friends join us for this fun outdoor oasis party, we really need to do this more often!
I didn’t ask for their outfits to coordinate so well to the decor, but we were really put together!
I can’t wait to get my party decor out again, I see many summer outdoor oasis parties in the near future!
