Top Picks for the Best White Christmas Village Houses

Choose A Theme

When choosing a theme for your Christmas tree with village houses as ornaments, it helps to start with a color palette that ties everything together. I opted for a monochromatic scheme, keeping it simple with white and silver. This choice not only highlights the delicate details of the village houses but also creates a clean, elegant look. Whether you prefer a bold, colorful tree or a subtle, minimalist style, selecting a cohesive theme will make your tree feel thoughtfully designed and visually striking.

Start With Your Tree

Whether real or artificial, the first step in decorating your Christmas tree is prepping it in the base. Make sure it’s secure and balanced before you begin. If you’re working with a faux tree, take the time to fluff the branches to give it a fuller, more natural appearance. Proper fluffing helps fill in any gaps, making your tree the perfect canvas for decorations. Once your tree is set and fluffed, you’re ready to start bringing your holiday vision to life!

Add Lights

Twinkle lights are key to creating that magical holiday glow. Most village houses have a small hole where you can tuck in a light, illuminating the windows and bringing the tiny scene to life. I love to add plenty of lights throughout the tree to make it really sparkle. For an extra layer of warmth, finish with remote-controlled battery-operated candles. They add a cozy touch and can be turned on with ease, enhancing the overall ambiance of your Christmas Village Tree.

Build The Base Of The Village

Unlike a typical Christmas Village that’s displayed on a table, this village is part of your tree, creating a magical winter wonderland in the branches. To set the scene, start by building a snowy base. A clever trick is using feather dusters to mimic snow! Easily found at dollar stores, Amazonor Target, just remove the handle, fluff them up, and evenly space them around the tree. This creates the perfect soft, snowy platform for your village houses, adding depth and charm to your Christmas Village Tree.

Add In Houses And Decorations

Once your snowy base is set, it’s time to add the village houses. Arrange them thoughtfully around the tree, varying in shape and size to create visual interest and a balanced look. Position them at different heights on the branches, as if they’re nestled in a charming hillside village. To enhance the scene, add complimentary coloured ornaments around the houses. Choose tones that match your theme, whether it’s silver, gold, or pops of colour, to tie everything together. These decorations will bring your Christmas Village Tree to life with a festive, cohesive look.

Finishing Touches

Finishing touches can truly elevate your Christmas tree decor, adding that extra layer of charm and elegance. One of my favorite finishing touches is flameless, remote-controlled candles. Not only do they provide a warm, flickering glow that feels like real candlelight, but they’re also safe and convenient—no need to worry about flames near your decorations! They come in a variety of styles, so you can easily find ones that fit your tree’s theme, whether you’re going for a traditional, modern, or rustic look. I’ve even written a post showcasing the best flameless candles for every decor style, so be sure to check it out for some great recommendations. You can see it here!
