Everything about todays project excites me. The colors, the burst of summer, the vibrancy of each image, the way the sun was blistering the day I was out painting (blistering isn’t a term we use here in May). Summer was my inspiration for this painted furniture, if you’re not quite there yet, stick around this fun furniture is sure to bring you around!
Today’s post is the third week of the Outdoor Extravaganza, the first week’s theme was plants and flowers where I shared the Easy to Build Patio Planter , week two I shared some tips for hosting a last minute BBQ, and the theme for week three is Painting and DIY.
Satori Design for Living | The Happy House | Echoes of Laughter | The Blissful Bee | Craftberry Bush
You might be surprised to learn that most of this furniture was plucked from the trash! A fresh coat of beautiful paint can go a long way to breathe life back into what was thought to be garbage.
All of these pieces had a little something wrong with them, but nothing with the construction. A new drawer front (also via the garbage) drawer pulls, and a touch of filler and these ladies were ready for the ball!
This collection of fresh summer colors makes my heart pitter patter, you can’t tell me it doesn’t make you smile!
Citrus Punch PPG112-5 | Citrus Sachet PPG223-3-4 | Dinnermint PPG104-2 | Blushing Senorita PPG234-2
I painted all the pieces using PPG Pittsburgh Paints Manor Hall Exterior Paint and Primer in One. A quick pre sand, and two coats of Manor Hall and this painted furniture was brand new.
I can’ t wait to sit out at this little table picnicking with the children.
I’ve never like dandelions as much as I do when I see a field or orchard full of them! The only thing that could have made me happier is if the apple blossoms had bloomed, I’m about a week too early.
I’m can’t wait to hear what you think of this color combination, I’m a bit obsessed with it.
Disclosure: The paint for this project was provided by PPG Voice of Color. All ideas, projects and opinions are my own.
