Mother’s Day is fast approaching and within a week or so we’ll all be scurrying to find just the right treat for mom. We all know Mom loves a personal touch (unless it’s Cheerios glued to a paper), so why don’t you whip out some craft supplies to make her something special! Today I’ve teamed up with my friends at Expressions Vinyl to share some personalized aprons for the baker and maker in your life, the perfect Mother’s Day Gift Idea!
Wouldn’t The Queen of the Castle just love to sport one of these fun aprons? The best part… would you believe me if I told you, one can be made in under 30 minutes!!
First you’ll need to swing by a post I wrote a while back on how to make a 10 Minute Apron . Once you mastered the art of the easiest apron on earth (and cute I might add), all you have left to do is download this super cute kitchen inspired cut file for free, and you’re on your way to an amazing Mother’s Day gift!
No matter if mom is an avid baker, or can stir a mean pot, these free Silhouette Cut files have you covered!
To get the look you will need to cut the design using a Silhouette, be sure to mirror the image. I used easy weed Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) in Hibiscus color from Expressions Vinyl. I cut the design with a blade setting of 2, and weeded the negative space of the design. Then I could easily apply the vinyl to the apron and press using a hot iron. You can see an example if you’re new to HTV here.
Wouldn’t these cut files work great on a t-shirt too!
