Tart Pan Repurposed to Home Decor

I’ve had a little set of tart pans I picked up at a yard sale for quite some time, I think I paid $1 for them! However, they sat around unused for so long they rusted. I had them in the throw away pile (but its not like me to throw away valuable goods) I knew they could be repurposed! Have a look at the transformation-

I drilled two small holes in each tart pan (with a regular bit) on the top and bottom and then spray painted them gold.

Using May Arts suede string I threaded it through the holes and knotted the ends to secure. Leaving the top piece looped for hanging.

I then cut circles from pattern paper and used my Xyron to apply adhesive to the back side (make sure it is permanent adhesive), I applied some cute embellishments, and beautiful May Arts ribbons. I decorated each tart pan with an inspirational phrase to make a cute piece of home decor.

I’ve been a busy beaver working on my Design Team application for May Arts Ribbon. This project is the first of 3 projects I’ve created for this call.

I’ve also created this baby card as a part of my application. Click here to see how I created the lace paper. I’ve also used May Arts silk flowers on this card, which are now available in a box of 500!
