She Blogs Link 2013 at the King Edward Hotel

As I’m sure you all know I’ve been on a road trip for the past few days. I covered over 4000km and visited Maine, New Hampshire, Cornwall, and Toronto. I was very fortunate to join so many talented ladies at the King Edward Hotel in Toronto for #LINK2013.  We networked, had sessions with some inspiring Canadian entrepreneurs, talked tech and social media, met brands who showered us with treats (thank you Skinny Cow, Fruttare, Bio Oil, Hasboro, Hakim, Umbra, Shop.ca, Scholastic, and many more), filled our tummies with delicious meals from the King Eddy and The Hot House, and stretched our bodies and minds with Yyoga.

It was an impressive learning experience and the perfect getaway for this bloggy lady.  I met tonnes of inspiring women, and was great to put a body to the avatar I’ve came to know.

This conference wouldn’t have been possible without the stunning accommodations provided Omni Resorts at the King Edward Hotel. The King Edward is having a facelift and us She Bloggers were among the first to get a tour of the newly renovated rooms.

IMG_6108Did I mention how comfortable the beds are?  I had to take it for a test drive so I missed a shot of the signature King Eddy down filled crown pillow. But let me tell you it gave the room the perfect pop of color, and tied together this well designed atmosphere.

business-king-edward-hotelThe King Edward Hotel is laced with striking conference rooms fit for 100’s or intimate sessions of 6. The architecture of this hotel, built in the early 1900’s is really something to take in and appreciate. If you follow me on instagram you would have already caught a glimpse of how the King Eddy goes the extra distance to welcome their guests.

The ladies of #LINK2013 also got a private tour of the Crystal Ball Room.

The Crystal Ball Room is located on the top floor of the King Eddy. It was closed in the late 70’s due to insurance reasons.  However, Omni Resorts have decided to restore this historic property. Can you imagine a wedding reception on the skyline of Toronto, who could resist the view?

The exquisite mouldings, orchestra tower, and sheer beauty will attract events of all kinds.

architecture-king-eddy.jpgThis will certainly be on my list of Toronto Hotels to revisit, plus I need to see the reveal of the finished ball room! Plus, Omni has resorts and hotel locations all over the US I can’t wait to visit. Especially the red roofed resort in Mount Washinton, NH I’m all too sad we passed by.

Overall the #LINK2013 conference was encouraging, and motivational and I can’t wait to return next year!
