Have you got your Christmas gift wrapping under way? I’m about half way through (thanks to this blog post). Today the May Arts Ribbon Design team has put together a whole hop worth of Christmas gift wrapping ideas!
As you all probably know I have hoards of May Arts Ribbon, yes hoards, so at the holidays I like to tie up my packages with a little extra special ribbon.
But to make my packages even more special this year I discovered this fun little wrapping trick to create a gift card pocket on the front of your parcel without any added trouble!
This pocket idea from Martha Stewart is easy as pie. Just cut your paper a few inches longer than needed and with a simple fold you can add a fun element to your gift! See the full instructions on the Martha Stewart website.
Can you believe how easy that is?
I didn’t do a whole lot of extra fuss with my wrapping, just simple bows, but with stunning ribbons do you need much more?
Adding a simple sprig of natural greenery makes your packages pop! Try box wood or cedar, which preserve themselves quite well, and even balsam if you’re giving your gift right away.
Using ribbons and wrapping paper with a similar colors, textures, and themes with give your christmas decor a cohesive look… at least until the little fingers get tearing them open!

Add in a little gold for a glam touch.
