My little Girl seriously loves her Barbies! She spends hours combing their hair, keeping her up to date with the latest wardrobe changes and letting her imagination run wild through play. I was a pretty big Barbie fan when I was little (honestly until about grade 7, but I think i was in it for all the awesome clothes I could make out of socks).
When I was asked by Mattel if I wanted to host a viewing party for my daughter and her little friends, I jumped on the opportunity! Who would pass up such a fun gig for their little girl!

The Christmas I got my Barbie Doll House and all the furniture for it, I was so excited! Mind you my Dad still complains about how many hours it took to put the house together..lol
My grandmother gave me a bunch of old Barbies and Barbie clothes she bought at a yardsale. They must have been from the 60s and she gave them to me in the 80s. Anyway, it was an amazing, gorgeous collection and everything was in such good condition. I loved it all and it made me really appreciate vintage fashion.
Unfortunately my mother gave the whole collection to my younger cousin when I went to college. But that’s a different story.
Sounds lovely, I still have a thing for vintage dresses!
I loved dressing the Barbies up in different outfits – and also having huge drama-rama fights between the “characters”. I really loved Barbie as a little one!

I remember playing Barbies with my cousin when I went to visit.
I used to love going to my friend’s house–she had so many beautiful gowns, closets for the clothes and the first bendable leg Barbie I had ever seen (back in the late 60s). And long, blonde hair! I “only” had a short-haired (Bubblecut!) straight-legged Barbie. :o)
My fave memory is playing hair salon

When I was little I spent hours playing barbies with my sister. I had every barbie that was on the market. It was the only time me and my sister weren’t fighting.
Christmas morning when I opened my Christmas present to find the coveted Barbie Dreamboat.
I loved playing with our Barbie RV and Barbie Dreamhouse. We still have the 20-year-old Dreamhouse, and the moving elevator and accessories still work!!
I played with Barbies for far too long.
Sadly I don’t have memories of playing with barbies. My daughter is 3 and is just getting into them now. Last week we were playing dress up with them and we laughed and had a great time – I am creating new Barbie memories.
