We all have classic items that we cherish, but since the pinterest outburst we’re all dying to make something old new again. You all know I’ve fallen victim to the epidemic, but did you know General Mills did too?! They have taken old school Honey Nut Cheerios and gave this classic a new twist Honey Nut Cheerios with Hearty Oat Crunch- yum yum! Today I want to show you how I’ve taken something vintage and gave it a spin. You remember the weekly dry erase calendar I showed you a few weeks back? It just wasn’t cutting it for our busy family, so I gave it a serious upsize!
While on a walk I actually found the frame in the ditch! When I took it to my glass man to have a new piece cut for it, he was astonished I found such a gem in the trash! I gave it a fresh coat of paint. I chose gold to maintain a bit of its authenticity, just like General Mills didn’t change the taste of their classic Honey Nut Cheerios!
Don’t let the addition of crispy oats and nut clusters fool you into thinking this is strictly ‘grown up’ cereal. My kids literally couldn’t wait to tear open the box (but myself and my 80 year old Dad loved it too!). Delicious with milk, as a tasty addition to trail mix, and only 3 Weight Watchers points per serving!
Want to try it for yourself? Try it for FREE! The first 25 of my readers to fill out my online form, and leave a comment, will receive a box to try! Hurry it hits the shelf June 24th!
“Disclosure – I am participating in the Honey Nut Cheerios Hearty Oat Crunch Blogger Campaign by Mom Central Canada on behalf of General Mills, and received compensation as a thank you for participating and for sharing my honest opinion. The project and opinions I’ve shared are my own.”
