Pecan Sticky Buns

  • approx 1lb of white bread dough (this really depends on how many and big you want them to be)
Caramel Topping
  • 6Tbsp butter, softened
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ½ cup of coarsely crushed pecans
  • 4tbsp butter, softened
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ cup of pecans
  1. Mix caramel topping ingredients together reserving the pecans.
  2. Line a pan with parchment paper and drizzle caramel topping into the pan, and sprinkle with pecans.
  3. Roll out bread dough on a lightly flowered surface, flowering your rolling pin as needed.
  4. Mix filling brown sugar with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Spread butter evenly over the dough, and sprinkle with sugar and spices mixture, add nuts evenly over the top.
  6. Roll dough into a log. Cut into 1" disks
  7. Arrange the buns into the pan with the cut side facing down, onto the caramel topping.
  8. Cover with a piece of parchment and a tea towel, and allow to rise until the buns fill the pan.
  9. Bake in a preheated 350ºF oven for 25-30mins until golden.
  10. Remove from pan and leave upside down.
