How to Fix Shoes that are Too Big: DIY Shoe Inserts

How to Fix Shoes that are Too Big: DIY Shoe Inserts tutorial featured by top US DIY blog, Fynes DesignsLast month three of my gal pals and I set sail for a crafty weekend getaway. I picked up a pair of cheap shoes to wear around the hotel and hadn’t got the chance to try them out before going. Guess what? After about a half hour of wear, I realized the shoes were a touch too big and I was getting a nasty blister (my alternative foot wear- a lovely pair of clunky winter boots).  I needed emergency shoe inserts!

I racked my brain for a solution on how to fix shoes that are too big – Eureka – I had a panty liner in my makeup bag!!! I know what you’re thinking… no one wants to discuss their unmentionables, but let me tell you, this is a quick fix for shoes too big that you will not want to forget!

How to Fix Shoes that are Too Big: a Tutorial

Simply cut the panty liner in half. The adhesive on most panty liners doesn’t run all the way to the ends, so you will want to put the rounded end down close to the sole of the shoe. If you have two liners you may want to double them up to give you a little extra cushion. Once stuck to the heel trim excess from the top, and give them a try!

Give it a try, your blister free feet will thank you!
