I had this idea in my head for this ultra glitter holiday sign. But how to do it with out the mess I pondered?  I had in my stash some Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Glitter Paint, from a previous project and it worked perfect!

I didn’t think the paint alone would be enough to get the extreme shine I wanted, but to my surprise, two coats got me exactly what I was looking for!

Have you ever tried to photograph glitter? Its nearly impossible (with my skills). But trust me the sparkle, shimmer and shine is amazing!

Glitter #Christmas decoration sign. Trim with tinsel to enhance the glitter

To give this glitter holiday sign a little extra umph and enhance the glitter, I hot glued a little tinsel garland around the edge.

Love, love , love this sign!

  2. I love this, so pretty. Can I ask you what did you make the sign out of? It looks like wood. And also how big is it?

    1. Thanks Kathy, I used a piece of Miranti (its really thin wood, about $10 for a 4 x 8 sheet) The sign measures 2’tall by 1’wide. I hope you create one too!

  3. How awesome – and mess-free!!? Wha…???

    No. I can’t believe it.

I’m so accustomed to looking like I had a run-in with a mob of fairies after I do a glitter project.

This is gorgeous, Virginia. I love it!

    1. Thanks Tara! I too look like I just walked through wonderland, so this is a great way to avoid the pixie dust!

  4. So beautiful! How did you get the lettering onto the board to be able to paint it?

      1. Thank you Virginia! I don’t have a Cameo, only a Cricut. Loved the “lucky” tutorial too 🙂
